At Counsellors Together we offer Telephone and online Counselling sessions to all Individuals in Cornwall and across the UK.
Counselling for Couples
We offer Counselling for couples who are finding it hard to communicate with each other. Couples Counselling used to be known as marriage guidance and can help you to resolve difficulties in your relationship or to make separation easier for you both.
Counselling Sessions
We provide sessions, either by Telephone, or online
In the first instance we will complete an initial assessment with you to build a picture on what it is you wish to get from your therapy sessions (this will take approx 20-30 minutes and is FREE of charge) - to book an initial assessment, please complete the online Counselling Client referral form found at the top of the home page - at the footer of the form, write your chosen date and time to be contacted for an assessment. We aim to respond to your request within 48 hours and will make contact to confirm your chosen assessment date and time.
If you then decide to book therapy sessions, then we will aim to place you with a Counsellor within 2-4 weeks, this is usually sooner.
Each session lasts for 50 minutes and most people choose to meet their Counsellor weekly, however for some, meeting fortnightly is enough; frequency of sessions can be negotiated with your Counsellor. We recognise that everyone has different needs, therefore it is difficult to say how many sessions you will require, although we provide sessions in blocks of 8 at a time, with a view to continue Counselling sessions for as long as necessary. We provide longer term Integrative Counselling to suit all.
Fees and payment options
We have a sliding scale of fees which are based on overall household income. (this is a combination of paid employment and benefit income).
IMPORTANT NOTE: All Payments are to be made by card payment - 48 hours prior to each Counselling session.
Counsellors Together want to make the service we provide available to everyone - therefore our prices are subsided and are made as affordable as we can make this . Counsellors Together is a Community Interest Company (this means we are a non-profit making organisation). However the service has to cover it's costs and so you will be asked to make a contribution, which we base on your net household income, as above.
Supporting letter
We do not provide Supporting Letters, or confirmation of attendance Letters, to individuals for any purpose, as we are not a clinical assessment service.
